Who is responsible
The team at CompliAce is responsible for information submitted through this website. Contact support@compliace.co.uk or use our contact form for questions about your information.
What we collect
The free check collects your chosen business type, UK nation, activities and answers. If you ask for a personal review, we also collect your business name, contact name, email, postcode, optional phone number, notes and your review and optional marketing choices.
The contact form collects your name, business name, email, optional phone number, chosen plan or enquiry type, message and agreement to a reply. It does not sign you up for marketing. We store a submission reference, submission date, review status and private follow-up notes for each enquiry.
Please do not send employee or customer personal information, identity documents, health information, passwords or card details through these forms. This website does not accept document uploads.
Why we use your information
We use submitted information to provide the personal review you request or answer your enquiry, based on your consent. The free check offers a separate, optional and unticked choice for occasional compliance tips and service information. You can withdraw either consent by contacting the team; withdrawal does not affect use that was lawful before it.
The summary shown in the free check is produced from your answers and is not a legal compliance decision. A person reviews requests for follow-up. You can view your summary without giving contact details or submitting it.
Storage and access
Submitted information is stored in this website’s hosted database. The review inbox is restricted to authorised CompliAce administrators. OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare, provide the website and database. Provider processing may take place outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements.
Unconverted enquiries are kept for up to 90 days of active use. Older records are removed when the form or inbox is next used. Provider backups and technical logs may follow separate retention schedules. Records exported by CompliAce are subject to the same business retention practices. If you become a customer, the ongoing service will have separate information about its document handling and retention.
Cookies and technical information
We have not added advertising trackers, analytics or non-essential cookies. Hosting and team sign-in may use essential cookies. Answers you have not submitted stay only in the current page and are lost when you leave or reload; we do not save them in browser storage.
For abuse prevention, the server briefly stores a hash derived from a connection address and a submission count. The temporary rate-limit record expires after about one day and is removed during subsequent use. Hosting providers may also keep operational security logs.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information, or request restriction or portability. You can object where the relevant right applies. Contact the team using the link above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
What submitting a form does
It creates an enquiry for personal review. It does not start a paid service, create a subscription or take a payment. Submissions go to the protected team inbox; automatic email alerts and CRM synchronisation are not currently enabled.
